After being married for about 4 years my husband, Adam, and I decided to have kids . . . or well just start having kids (one at a time ya know). We decided the summer before our daughter was conceived to go on a family trip with my parents, brother and his wife; as we had anticipated life would be busier once our little one arrive. Unfortunately my brother and his wife could not come. But we made the best of the trip. We went to Branson, MO. So nothing spectacular, but the four of us had a good time!
The following October I had a girl’s trip planned with friends from work. Right before I left for the trip we found out I was pregnant. We had been trying for this pregnancy but when it finally happened for us we didn’t have the reaction we thought we would. We looked at each other like, “well, there’s no turning back now”. Bringing a child into this world is a huge responsibility and lifetime commitment; we felt the weight of it in that moment. 9 months later we had our beautiful little girl. We were still taken back by the reality of the situation. It was shocking to us that the hospital just let us take a baby home (I know she was our baby and we made her, but man we were still deeply touched by how much care and love and responsibility this child would need. We were ready to give it to her, but still surprised they just gave us a baby lol!). But once home we settled into a routine, then once we got that routine down Isabel was ready for a new routine, and we've been trying to keep up with her ever since.
A decade later we love her more than we could imagine, are so happy she's ours, and definitely enjoy spending time with her. Our girls is . . .
CONSCIOUS OF OTHERS
ONE TO TAKE CARE OF OTHERS
And we wouldn't have it any other way. Happy (late) Birthday my sweet girl!!
