If you’re a mom, there’s a good chance you’re the one taking the photos—but rarely the one in them. And when you are, you might think, I’ll do it later, when I feel better, when life is calmer, when I look more like myself.
I hear this all the time. And I want you to know something: you don’t need to fix anything before stepping in front of the camera. Your kids just want to see you. They want to see family portraits on the wall including everyone.
As a portrait photographer, my job isn’t to make you look like someone else. It’s to help you feel comfortable, supported, and seen—exactly as you are right now. You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to lose weight, get new clothes, or practice smiling in the mirror. That’s my part. Yours is just showing up.
I guide you through everything—where to stand, what to do with your hands, adjust your hair. We laugh, have fun and have a good time. We take breaks if we need to. And if your kids are involved? Chaos is expected. Real moments are welcome.
Here’s the truth most moms don’t hear enough: your kids don’t see the things you’re worried about. They see you. The way you hold them. The way you look at them. The way they feel safe next to you. Those are the moments worth remembering.
Portraits aren’t about perfection—they’re about presence. And you deserve to exist in your family’s story, not just behind the camera.
If you’ve been waiting for the “right time,” this is your reminder: the right time is now.
