On June 28th, I had the absolute joy of photographing Rachel and Nate’s wedding — a day full of laughter, happy tears, and the kind of love that leaves everyone a little breathless. What made it even more special for me was the location: First Baptist Church of Grandview, the same church Rachel and I grew up in. Walking through those familiar doors brought back so many memories, and capturing Rachel’s wedding day in that space felt like a full-circle moment.
I’ve known Rachel for years — I even photographed her senior portraits! Watching her grow into the beautiful, confident, kind woman she is today has been such a gift. And now, seeing her marry someone who clearly adores her in every glance, touch, and shared laugh . . . Pure magic.
Rachel looked stunning in a gown that was nothing short of a masterpiece. It had five layers of flowing elegance, each one catching the light and movement as she walked down the aisle. Her bridal look was romantic, timeless, and uniquely her.
Their wedding colors — purple and wildflowers — were the perfect combination of classic and whimsical. Everything felt fresh, vibrant, and joyful, much like Rachel and Nate themselves.
And her ring… let me just say: wow. It’s absolutely to die for. Rich in color, unique in design, and full of character — just like Rachel. It’s the kind of ring that stops you in your tracks.
From their sweet first kiss as husband and wife to the warm celebration that followed, Rachel and Nate’s wedding was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful love can be when it’s rooted in friendship, faith, and family.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson! Your day was unforgettable — thank you for letting me be a part of it.
