From Little Boy to Lone Jack High School Senior

Ten years ago, I photographed Aiden during his family portrait session. He was just a kid then, surrounded by his family and full of that little-boy personality. Fast forward ten years, and I had the chance to photograph him again—but this time, he’s a senior at Lone Jack High School.

And because who doesn't love when photography tells a story ... we decided to recreate a few of those original photos.

Seeing the comparison is pretty incredible. The location and idea may be similar, but the little boy from those photographs has grown into a young man right before my camera.

As a photographer, getting to photograph families over the years is one of the greatest parts of what I do.

You don't always realize how meaningful those early family portraits will become. At the time, they're simply pictures of your kids being little. But ten years later, those photographs become a time capsule.

Aiden's senior session gave us the chance to bring a little piece of that childhood back and see just how much he's changed.

From family portraits in 2016 to senior portraits in 2026—ten years, a whole lot of growing, and a pretty amazing transformation.
